Sontronics Introduces Black Microphones
2007 has been a busy year for Sontronics with the launch of the brand new APOLLO stereo ribbon microphone. And this month sees the introduction of black versions of two of their most popular condenser mics, previewed at Frankfurt Musikmesse and available immediately.
The new STC-2 Black is a sleek new version of the STC-2 large-diaphragm, cardioid condenser microphone, featuring satin black finish, smart gold lettering and the same unmistakable smooth sound. Thanks to its evenly balanced frequency response, with a defined low-end and beautifully detailed, open top-end, the STC-2 Black accurately captures what's being recorded in all its colour.
The STC-1 cardioid condenser instrument microphone has been updated for 2007, with remodelled porting around the capsule designed to capture more low-end, making it even more suited to mking drumkits and acoustic instruments. The new STC-1 Black (also available as an STC-1S Black pair) features similar satin finish and gold lettering.

As Sontronic's founder Trevor Coley says: "Feedback from users of our SIGMA ribbon mic released last year told us that the smart black finish was turning heads everywhere, so we decided to create black versions of the everpopular STC-1, STC-1S and STC-2. They look fantastic and we're really pleased with them, and now it seems everybody wants one!"
The new black mics are covered by Sontronics newly announced Lifetime Warranty.
